Meet Erika
Erika Buchholtz is a dedicated and market-savvy professional who strives for happy clients above all else. Having guided over 1500 families through the home buying and selling process, her attention to detail, design and styling experience, superior people skills, broad knowledge of the real estate industry, and determination to indulge her clients with first-class service set her apart.
Utilizing the power of creative and well-organized marketing, Erika offers a strategic plan to maximize property exposure. With a fair yet firm negotiating style and commitment to excellence, she has earned the respect of colleagues and clients.
Whether it’s thoughtfully suggesting just the right amount of work needed for a home to sell, or following through with clients’ needs long after the transaction is over, Erika’s warm, caring yet efficient business style will turn you, too, into a client for life.
Background
Growing up in a gracious Mediterranean built in 1932 on Sunset Boulevard in Beverly Hills, Erika cultivated a passion for architecture and style at an early age as she watched her mom, a successful interior designer, transform houses into beautiful homes. She followed her high school sweetheart, now husband for almost 30 years, to Chapel Hill in 1994 after graduating from UCLA with Highest Honors (Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa) and began her real estate career.
Erika’s goal each day is to spread goodness. Random acts of kindness, sharing a smile, compassion, and paying it forward. Her guiding principle is: helping one person might not change the world but it could change the world for one person. In addition to
Giving back to the community, throughout her real estate career, she has been an integral member of the Orange Chatham Association of REALTORS® and is Past President of the 600-plus member organization.
Part of the Southern Village development team since its inception, Erika has lived in the neighborhood since 1996. She shaped the design of her custom residence which has been featured in multiple publications. Erika is inspired by travel, impromptu conversations, architecture, water views, art, yoga, renovating properties, and people who make a difference. She cherishes the inevitable tears of laughter that accompany family game night with her daughter, Chloe, and son, Theo; long hikes; lingering dinners; and Dash-the-dog's love-filled eyes.
